ICON Park Orlando: Orlando Eye, SEA LIFE or Madame Tussauds?
4 min read
Short answer: if you can do only one, book The Orlando Eye: it is the one that gives you Orlando from above, and its ticket lets you add Madame Tussauds or SEA LIFE. Choose SEA LIFE for the aquarium, and the Madame Tussauds and SEA LIFE combo if you already know you want both indoor attractions.
What ICON Park is
ICON Park sits at 8375 International Drive, according to its official contact page, which places it on both International Drive and Universal Boulevard. Parking is free for all guests on floors 4 to 7 of its garage, the park says on the Madame Tussauds page, and the Eye, SEA LIFE and combo listings include parking for the ICON Park attractions. The three attractions below are all inside it.
The attractions
The Orlando Eye is a 400-foot-tall observation wheel with 30 air-conditioned glass capsules, and a ride lasts about 20 minutes, according to the press release of its operator, Merlin Entertainments. The ticket listing promises 360° views toward Disney, Universal and the skyline, and a capsule for your group with Bluetooth for your own music. It also warns that the wheel does not run during thunderstorms and high winds, and may open later or close early for special events.
SEA LIFE Orlando is an aquarium. The listing names sharks, stingrays and sea turtles, among them Ted, a rescued loggerhead, and a rock pool where you can touch sea stars and anemones; the behind-the-scenes tour is not included. ICON Park describes it as a marine habitat with a 360-degree viewing tunnel.
Madame Tussauds Orlando is a wax museum. The entry ticket mentions the Justice League and a Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson action-movie set.
The tickets
| Ticket | Price | Rating | What the listing says |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Orlando Eye with optional attractions | €108.12 | 4.4 (344) | Glass capsule at 400 ft; can be combined with Madame Tussauds or SEA LIFE |
| SEA LIFE Orlando aquarium | €108.12 | 4.4 (495) | Sharks, stingrays, sea turtles |
| Madame Tussauds and SEA LIFE combo | €108.12 | 4.6 (425) | Access to both attractions |
| Madame Tussauds entry ticket | €108.12 | 4.4 (182) | Wax figures, including the Justice League |
All four listings come from the same seller and are built around options, from a single attraction up to the Merlin Florida Ticket, which adds LEGOLAND Florida, its water park, Peppa Pig Theme Park and SEA LIFE Florida. That is why they can show the same price. Do not read it as proof they include the same things: check on the booking page which attractions are in the option you select before you pay. Each ticket is valid for 14 days from first use.
How to choose
You want a view: the Eye. For a different angle on the same parks, see our guide to the helicopter flights over the parks.
You have children who love animals: SEA LIFE. Its listing is about sharks, stingrays and turtles, and the rock pool lets children feel a sea star or an anemone.
It rains, or you want an indoor hour: the combo of Madame Tussauds and SEA LIFE puts two indoor attractions on one ticket. The Eye does not run during thunderstorms, so keep it for a clear evening.
You are still planning your park days: compare these tickets with a park day, for example the SeaWorld or Discovery Cove choice.
Our recommendation
For most visitors: The Orlando Eye, booked with one add-on if you have the time. It is the one that gives you the view over the parks, and the combo options give you a way to widen it. Take the Madame Tussauds and SEA LIFE combo on a wet afternoon. For more tickets to such attractions, see our attractions page.
